The Maryland Court Help Center (a public-private partnership between the Maryland Judiciary and Maryland Center for Legal Assistance) demonstrates a new model for narrowing the justice gap by providing free legal services to all persons with a civil matter and by redefining what it means to provide "brief" legal advice.

Graham Bennie

Maryland Center for Legal Assistance
Graham Bennie is the Training Manager for the Maryland Center for Legal Assistance, LLC (MCLA). Graham is responsible for developing and administering the internal training curriculum for MCLA staff (to include onboarding and continuing legal education), as well as the creation of educational materials for the public to be distributed through the Court Help Centers and the Maryland Judiciary.
In 2020, Graham joined MCLA as a staff attorney, advising on a wide range of legal issues including landlord/tenant matters, peace and protective orders, divorce, custody, and foreclosure cases. Prior to serving as Training Manager, Graham was a supervising attorney for MCLA from September 2022 to October 2023.
Before joining MCLA, Graham spent three years with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore. Graham obtained his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2016, graduating summa cum laude.
